Meet Sister Mary Jon Wagner, OSF

Ministries:
Sister spent 1963-1976 teaching grades 5-8 in OH and MI. She became school Principal for NE Regional School in Minneapolis, transferring to S.S. Peter & Paul in Sandusky in 1984. In 2002, Sister accepted the position of Superintendent of Sandusky Catholic Schools, staying until called to the Motherhouse to serve as Asst. Congregational Minister in 2008. In 2012 she was elected Congregational Minister, serving two terms plus an additional year during COVID.
A People Person: Sister, who comes from a small family, was led by faith and commitment to join the Sylvania Franciscans and surround herself with people – from students, teachers, and an entire school district – to leadership of her Community. “My greatest interest is in being with people, listening to them, talking to them and working together to be the best we can be,” she says.
