Meet Sister M. Jeremias Stinson, OSF

Sisters of St Frances Jubilee
From:

Port Clinton, OH

First Profession:

1963

Ministries:

Sister’s ministry in education began with teaching grades 3 – 8 in 1963 – 1968, continued as the Director of the Assisi Residency Program and teaching Religion at St. Clare Academy, and Landscape design at Lourdes University. This remains true today in her ministry of Environmental Stewardship of Grounds, Shrines and Woodland Management. Sisters’ 47 years of caring for creation at the Motherhouse began with the restoration of the Portiuncula Chapel and the creation of the Spiritually Center and Hermitages, and has led to national recognition for her innovation and expertise.

A Contemplative Life: Sister seeks her truth through writing poetry and prose, making magnificent music playing the trombone and trumpet, laboring with her hands and mind, daily fellowship and, always, in the stillness of the woods.
