Principal and then Principal until 1983. She was elected to General Council, serving from 1984-1992. After a Sabbatical as a student in Berkeley, CA, she spent six years in Social Service Ministry in Walls, MS, then 14 years at Star of The Sea Church in Virginia Beach, VA serving the homeless. Since 2014, Sister has volunteered at the Motherhouse.

Be still my heart: Sister heard the call early on but refused to pick up the receiver until God raised his voice a little in church one day. Alright – fine, she said, and swiftly headed to the Sylvania Franciscans. Arriving in January, she felt peace immediately, but, she was late joining her crowd who were prepared to become Postulants. Mother Adelaide took her in hand and, smiling warmly, said, “In the words of St. Augustine, ‘Our hearts are restless until we find rest in the Lord. You are now a Postulant.”
