Ministries:
Sister taught middle school and HS math until 1972. She transitioned to administrative roles, serving as Dean and Activities Director at Central Catholic and then Assistant Principal at Cardinal Stritch HS from 1977-1984. She then spent five years as Assoc. Dean at Lourdes. Sister obtained her doctorate from Boston College and returned to University Admin., serving at Lourdes College, Briar Cliff College in IA, then, from 2000-2006, as Assoc. VP at University of Detroit Mercy. Sister transitioned to health care, serving as VP of Mission Integration at Franciscan Services/Sylvania Franciscan Health, and, since 2015, Catholic Health Living Communities.
Leap of Faith: After almost 40 years in the ministry of education, the Spirit, played by Franciscan Services Corp. founder John O’Connell, called Sister out of the blue and sweet-talked her into leaving academia to work for him in corporate health care. She’s eternally grateful for the lovely gifts she’s found since.
