In the Spring of 2014 The Toledo-Lucas County Sustainability Commission completed Greater Toledo: Going Beyond Green. Going Beyond Green is our region’s sustainability plan. The plan outlines a framework to do projects that protect the environment, promote social equity, and create economic development opportunities for the community. The plan addresses things such as water quality, local foods, and energy efficiency. Since the plans development we have been implementing exciting projects to address environmental challenges in our community. This is an opportunity to learn about some exciting things going on in Toledo-Lucas County, how we are tracking our progress, and how to get involved.
