From 1961-1969, Sister taught grades 1-8 at St. Joseph School in Sylvania and St. Ann’s in Cincinnati. She spent a year at Catholic University in Washington, DC, then returned to Toledo to serve as a consultant for the Toledo Diocese until 1977, as the DRE for St. Ann Parish in Cincinnati until 1985 and the DRE for the Area Religious Edu. Office in Rockford, IL until 1992. She spent the next 17 years as a Religious Edu. Consultant for the Diocese of Columbus, OH. After completing CPE studies, Sister served as a chaplain at St. Joseph Regional Health in Bryan, TX.
God has been good to me. Sister always felt confident that God would lead her wherever she was supposed to be, to do whatever it was she was needed to do, so, she always said “Yes. We work hard,” she says, laughingly remembering St. Ann’s in particular, “but the Community always makes sure we have what we need to be the best we can be,” Sister glows, telling of her many retreats, travels and pilgrimages.
