Sister M. Vianney Rudzki entered the Sylvania Franciscan community after eighth grade,
following in the footsteps of her sister Paulette. The two sisters were inseparable and were often
mistaken to be twins, although Sister Vianney was younger by a year and a half. Sister Vianney celebrated
her 75th Jubilee in 2020.
She had a 45-year ministry in early childhood education. Her favorite grade to teach was kindergarten.
Sister Vianney’s students adored her joyful energy and loved that she was tiny, lively, and quick enough
to keep up with them. Later she served as a primary school librarian.
