Meet Sister Pauline Kijek, OSF

Sister served in the ministry of education from 1955 – 2012, teaching grades 1-8 in OH, MI and MN. She taught eighth grade at Sts. Peter and Paul in Detroit for nearly 25 of those years. From 2012-2020, Sister has served as a caregiver for individuals in MI and OH, and, since 2018, she has ministered with Holy Aromas and as a volunteer in Queen of Peace Chapel and around the Motherhouse.
The Lord is Good and His Love never ends: Sister felt this early in life. Her mother liked to tell the story how in first grade, inspired by her teacher Sister Natalie no doubt, Sister came home and told her mother that she already knew what she wanted to do when she grew up – be a Sister. Now, after 65 years of ministry, she smiles and says, “It’s true. And it has been very good.”
