In response to recent policies and directives by the current Administration:
Our mission as Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, Ohio calls us to look on our world with the compassion of Jesus found in the Gospels. In the tradition of St. Francis and St. Clare, we uphold the dignity of each person, our sisters and brothers, all created in God’s image. We actively respect the gift of all creation by nurturing our common home. We seek to build peace by being a source of light and hope for those who are marginalized and most vulnerable.
We stand united with those adversely affected by recent executive directives and policies.
We stand united with those who are working to protect the least among us.
We stand united with those who work to protect the health of our planet.
We stand united with those who choose compassion and hope.
The Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, OH join the Leadership Conference of Women Religious in responding to these current events. You can read the LCWR response here: lcwr.org
