Meet Sister Geraldine Nowak, OSF

Ministries:

Sister taught grades 1-7 before serving from 1970-1981 as Religious Ed./Admin. at Central Catholic HS, a time she calls her “Camelot experience.” Through her work in pastoral ministry, she served in Oregon, OH, Monroe, MI, Fayette/Lyon and Fostoria OH. In between, she served as Spiritual Care Coordinator for Hospices of Monroe/Wastenaw MI and for the Franciscan Care Center, and as SOSF Vocations Minister from 2005 – 2009. Since then, Sister has focused her ministry on social justice, attending protests, serving as the JPIC Asst. Coordinator until 2017 and, now, doing on-line advocacy

Finding the divine in the daily: “I live by incarnational spirituality. No matter what I’ve done, I find delight in seeing God working in people’s lives – and in my life – in simple yet profound daily experiences,” Sister Geraldine says.
