Meet Sister Grace Ellen Urban, OSF

Sister entered her first classroom (St. Joseph School) in 1959 and spent the next 28 years teaching in Catholic Schools in OH, MI, and MN. She has been a lifelong volunteer at St. Louis Helping Hands Soup Kitchen and her service at Rosary Care led to ministry as Activities Director in 1988. Since 1990, Sister has served in ministry as the Assistant Grounds Specialist at the Motherhouse.
Two Helpful: Although Sisters Grace Ellen and Adrienne enjoyed their teenage jobs working at the iconic Federals Dept. store in Detroit, they left more than a few customers scratching their heads. While one girl would go off to fetch an item for the customer, her twin would helpfully appear moments later, empty-handed. (Solution: Assigning them to different floors.)
