In 1958 Sister began a 26-year ministry in education in OH and MN. She served her Jr. High students not only in the classroom, but by playing Coach for several sporting teams. In 1986 she returned to the Motherhouse to serve as Moderator for St. Francis Guild, while pursuing studies at Lourdes College and working on the Sisters’ Poverello Production. In 1990, Sister also became the Gift Shop Director, a position she held for 25 years. Since 2015, you can find Sister – and often several volunteers – baking in Sister Gretchen’s Kitchen ministry.
Family Table: Throughout COVID, Sister has continued to call, email and send cards to her volunteers. “Working in the kitchen together, we became a family. We really miss each other.”
