Ministries:
Sister’s 26 years in the classroom included teaching grades 1-6 in MI, MN and OH. She spent a year working in the Umbria Hall Print Shop before ministry as Coord. of the Vianney Ctr. in Steubenville, OH between 1987-1989 and 1989-1992 as Hospitality Coord. for the Good Counsel Education Ctr. in Mankato, MN. Back at the Motherhouse, she served as Asst. Bookstore Mgr. for Lourdes College until 1999, then served the Community as Switchboard Operator, Driver, Asst. Housing Coord. and Used Furniture Coord. until 2001. She ministered in Housekeeping for the Franciscan Services Corp. until 2014 and continues to serve her Community as a Driver for her Sisters.
Parting Thoughts: When the Vianney Center in Steubenville set a date to close their doors, Sister set about planning a goodbye. Six months later, she’d designed “A Farewell Journey” – a full day for the retreat center staff to move through a series of meditative steps that included meals, Mass, prayers and a graced closure to their ministry.
