Meet Sister Nancy Ferguson, OSF

Ministries:
From 1966-1979, Sister served in the ministry of education, teaching grades 1-8 in OH and MN. She transitioned to Vocations, working for the Toledo Diocese and then the Community until 1984. Sister served as Community Secretary until 1988, then entered Pastoral ministry in OH and IN. From 2000-2005, she ministered as a foster caregiver at Los Ninos in New Mexico. She returned to pastoral care until 2010, and in 2011, began her work directing Mission Integration at Trinity Health in Steubenville, then from 2018-2020 at St. Joseph Health in Bryan, TX and, since 2020, at Rosary Care Center.
The Lord knows the plans he has for you: “I have what Sister Kateri taught me are highly transferrable skills,” laughs Sister, when her rather long ministry history is mentioned. “Each ministry oddly prepared me for what came next,” she explains. “Even if I didn’t know how I’d do it, it always turned out that I was ready.”
