Meet Sister Nancy Linenkugel, OSF
Toledo, OH
1971
Ministries:
Sister taught 8th grade from 1971-1978. She studied Hospital Admin. at Xavier and did her residency in Erie, PA. From 1980-1985, she ministred as VP of St. John Med. Center in Steubenville. She moved to Providence Hospital in Sandusky in 1985, remaining as President and CEO until 2001. From 2002-2008, Sister ministered as the President of Chatfield College, then was called to the Motherhouse to serve as Congregational Secretary until 2012. She chaired the Dept. of Health Services at Xavier University until 2020, and was elected Congregational Minister in 2021.
She’s Not Kidding: “I’ve had leadership roles all my life and have long practiced 213°,” Sister says. “Science discovered that at 210° or 211° water is just hot and it doesn’t boil until 212°. I try to be 213° in everything I do,” she grins. Her boundless creative energy is balanced, (thank you dear Jesus), with a gentle musical soul and a warm appreciation for life’s goofier moments.
