Meet Sister Patricia Gardner, OSF
Cincinnati, OH
1973
Ministries:
Her ministry in education began in 1974, teaching at her alma mater, St. Ann’s in Cincinnati, then Toledo schools and finally Presentation School in St. Paul. In 1985, Sister accepted the role as Principal for a school in Corsicana, TX, remaining until 2000 when she and two other Sisters launched Los Ninos for orphans in Los Lunas, NM. She returned to the Motherhouse to serve two terms as treasurer on the Leadership Team from 2008-2016. Sister currently co-directs JPIC, serves with CASA and ministries around the Motherhouse.
It all adds up: “I left half of my heart in Texas,” Sister says, then laughs at her math. “I’ve left half of my heart in NM, in MN, in OH – everywhere I’ve been!” she smiles. “I’ve really loved every ministry I’ve had. I try to treat people the way I want to be treated, I try to help in any way I can, and I look for the good in people.”
