Sister Shannon Schrein, OSF

Sister taught grades 2-8 in OH, MN and LA from 1971-1984, then transitioned to Lourdes University to teach religious studies and serve with Campus Ministry. In 1990, Sister went to Marquette University for her PhD in Theology, during which time she also taught. From 1998-2013, Sister ministered as a Theology Professor at Lourdes and, from 2013-2016, as Dean of the Grad. School. Sister then served her second Leadership term, as a Asst. Cong. Minister. Trust in all things great and small: In 8th grade, Sister sang her first solo, (Danny Boy!) for Sr. Patrice at Regina Coeli. Her first solo for the Sisters was "I believe in you" at a beautiful Mass Sr. Miriam let the young Sisters have on the lawn. Sister loves both 'teaching scripture' and giving keynotes at theological conventions. As a Counselor, she deliberates massive Motherhouse projects, then, later, brings new slippers to a sick Sister and sings her to sleep. 'Trust God, when to simply trust God is the hardest thing of all, Sister quotes, grinning at the paradox.
