There is a little bit of Christmas in each day the whole year through when a family is blessed with special people in their lives.  I enjoy taking time each year to send my warmest Christmas wishes to my dear family and good friends.  Here we are again, with another year filled with many memories.  My most cherished memories are those of the surprise visits from my dear nieces, nephews, great and great, great and even great, great, great dear ones.  My family threw me a surprise party for my 93rd birthday. It was an over-whelming and gratifying celebration which I will never forget.  My siblings are with our gracious and loving God, but I am so blessed with all of their descendants who are so loving, precious, and thoughtful, with visits, phone calls, cards, etc.  I am so thankful for these wonderful memories of 2022.  Yes, there is a little bit of Christmas in each day.

Another daily blessing is our Activities Team at Our Lady of Grace and Rosary Care Center. They are truly top-notch, creating a wonderful spirit with care.  They are #1 in the country in my opinion. Whatever they do, they do it with perfection, and they are so loving and gracious to every resident.  We are like family here.

The parishioners at St. Joseph’s Parish here in Sylvania gave all our residents a wonderful Christmas Party.  I really did not need anything, so I asked for popcorn and they brought me a variety of delicious gourmet, flavored popcorn.  I am so blessed here at Our Lady of Grace. There have been Christmas trees and decorations all over the building and on every floor.  I always decorate my room, too, and I just love it.  We need to be Advent Acrobats to balance celebrating Christ Who has already come and waiting patiently for a rebirth in us with the busyness of the preparation for Christmas.

We all bring a little bit of Christmas to each day.  BLESS YOU for the little things you do in thoughtful ways.   BLESS YOU for the way you brightened up so many days for others. BLESS YOU for your giving heart, as kind as it can be.  BLESS YOU in a thousand ways for truly blessing me.  Let us keep Christmas in each day with the loving simple ways of living.

Sr. Geraldine P.,
You are a gift that just keeps giving.
You have sunshine in your smile, your eyes your everything! You are so right that Christmas should be in our every day, as Advent should continue in each of our lives because, we are waiting for His coming each and every day.
Thank you so much!
